Joe was killed in a tragic act of violence in October 2014, in which Joe played no part. His family and friends are deeply saddened by his loss, and have chosen to start the Joe McGowan Fund. Please consider making a donation to support the fund.

Format and equipment – Riders bring their own bikes to mount on provided trainers. Functional road, gravel, or mountain bikes are acceptable (Have your bike serviced if it is not fully operational). You will need a trainer quick-release rear skewer or axle and we ask that you use a trainer-specific rear tire. (tires and axles are available for purchase here at the shop)
Spin Classes are hour-long sessions geared toward riders ready to apply their skills to a 40-minute interval session guided by the coach, plus warm-up and warm-down. The coach will make recommendations but ultimately the difficulty is determined by the rider and how hard they want to push themselves during the intervals. All levels of riders are welcome in every class.
Bikes can be stored at GPS for the duration of the block for a $8 storage fee.
Wear cycling appropriate clothing (chamois shorts highly recommended). Bring a water bottle, headband and/or towel and a great attitude.

In order to offer backcountry ski products responsibly, we've partnered with NOLS and American Avalanche Association instructors to offer a Level 1 Avalanche Training so you may venture into avalanche terrain with the knowledge to identify hazardous terrain and have an enjoyable safe outing in our beautiful backyard.

WHO
This class is geared toward skiers and splitboarders wanting to safely venture into the backcountry during the winter. Must be 16 or older.
DETAILS
Class session Friday morning transitioning into gear check and initial beacon practice Friday afternoon. Saturday and Sunday we will travel to Togwotee Pass for on-the-snow training.
Please make sure to come prepared to spend the entire day on the snow and bring your BC skis or splitboard to operate in the field. (Instructors will be happy to take questions about gear and proper layering before heading outside on day 2.)
